What to do with orders tagged Fraud

Sometimes when an order is placed Shopify may deem it to be fraudulent. However, there are times when further research is needed to make sure the order is or is not actually fraud on our end.

In the event an order is marked fraud:

  • Notify Rana Coggins, so she can research the order verify if it is or is not a fraudulent order.

If an order is deemed Fraud:

  • Do nothing. Leave order as is, do not fulfill.

If an order is deemed NOT Fraud:

  • Once the proper research has been done and the order is proven to be a real order, go to the order page and scroll down to the tags area.
  • Tag the order as “approved”. (This is case-sensitive. So do not capitalize the “a” )
  • After you have tagged the order, there is nothing left for you to do. Do not change anything else on the order manually. DO NOT mark the order Fulfilled.

Netsuite communicates with our Shopify stores every 30 minutes to sync themselves. Tagging the order “approved” will notify Netsuite that the order is valid and it will begin to process the order as if it were a new order and handle everything as normal.

However, if something more than just tagging the order is changed on the backend Netsuite will not update and the order will not be truly be fulfilled.
