Customer Image Submission Guidelines

Each vendor has specific guidelines that must be followed when shooting, saving and sending images to them for their specific products.

All image guidelines are located here and attached below: I:\GRAPHICS DEPARTMENT\_PROCEDURES\IMAGE GUIDELINES\

If a customer requires a direct image URL (not Dropbox or WeTransfer)

  • This commonly happens with Walmart.
  • We locally host these on the shopadvantusch.com domain.
  • FTP credentials are in KeePass and BitWarden – use the shpadch_user19 login.
  • Local file location where you can put files you need to upload via the FTP: I:\WEB\ShopAdvantusCH\shp-advant-ch-root\customerimages
  • Each image URL will start with www.shopadvantusch.com, followed by the path where you uploaded the image.  For example: http://shopadvantusch.com/customerimages/thinkspace/00091141368715_01.jpg

Global Industrial Creative

Image Requirements – The only image requirements are JPG format at 300 dpi

Image Submission Process – In order to expedite images coming from our many vendors Global Industrial Creative has set up a public/vendor FTP site to electronically receive images for catalog and web production. Please follow the steps below to insure a timely reception of sent images.

Step 1

Trying to connect to our ftp folder using Internet Explorer will differ depending on the version of IE browser you are using – we suggest downloading a free FTP client to transfer files, like FileZilla.

Step 2

  • Enter FTP address and Username and Password.
  • ftp2.systemax.com
  • User Name: creative
  • Password: syxevi150!
  • Initial Path: /

Step 3

Once connected, create a new directory/folder named as the senders Company Name followed by the date your uploading information on. (i.e. ABC Company 8-19-09) – DO NOT PUT IMAGES INTO EXISTING DIRECTORIES/FOLDERS. THEY WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. If you are uploading images a second time, create another directory/folder and proceed accordingly.

Step 4

Drag images to your new directory/folder. (Be aware that low resolution images (72 dpi) or images used on your web site, cannot be used for producing catalog pages. Only high resolution images (300 dpi) will be accepted for catalog use.

After images have been uploaded, please disconnect from the FTP and send an email to Scott Harrison at Sharrison@globalindustrial.comand cc. the Global Product Manager with whom you deal with (cherman@globalindustrial.com).
