At or around 60 days of employment, schedule a meeting with new employees to discuss the following topics:

  • Hiring Process
  • Training
  • Culture
  • Manager’s Relationship
  • Needs
  • Concerns

Sample questions:

  • What do you look forward to when you come to work each day?
  • What do you like least about working here?
  • What are you passionate about?
  • What is your dream job?
  • What keeps you working here?
  • If you had a magic wand and could change something about your work, your role, or your responsibilities, what would that be?
  • How do you like to be recognized for good work?
  • What talents are not being used in your current role?
  • What motivates you?
  • What demotivates you?
  • How is your relationship with your Manager?
  • If you could change one thing about your Manager, what would it be?
  • If there were an issue between your Manager and you, would you be comfortable initiating a conversation to address it?
  • How do you feel about your compensation?
  • How do you feel about the benefits we provide?
  • What might tempt you to leave us?
  • If you could change something about us, what would it be?
  • Anything else you’d like to mention?
