NetSuite has four different pricing update types
- Customer Price Add/Update
- Used to add a price for an item to a particular customer record OR update the price for an item already assigned pricing on a particular customer record
- Example: new item SUL123 is being sold to 46JOA at a price of $2.33
- Example: existing item SUL456 was being sold to 46JOA at a price of $2.33, but now will be sold to the customer at a price of $2.44
- Customer Price Removal
- Used to remove a price for an item assigned to a particular customer record
- Example: item SUL789 is being sold to 50RAN at a price of $2.50. 50RAN is assigned to price level Craft Tier 1. The price level price for item SUL789 for Craft Tier 2 is $2.50. We want to remove the pricing on the customer record as it is a duplicate of the price level they are assigned to
- Example: SUL789 was being sold to 50RAN for a special price of $2.45, but now is not and they should pay the price level price of $2.50
