Set up DNS within Shopify
Add ADA Compliance service to the site (we are using accessiBe) by pulling source code from accessiBe.com and adding it to the site’s code.
Notify Customer Service, Accounting, IT, and the Warehouse of the new e-commerce site.
Log-in to Shopify
Select Settings
Complete General Information
- This includes the store name, contact email, sender email, address, time zone, default weight unit and system, and store currency.
Complete Payments
- Select your 3rd Party Payment Partners.
- The payment method should be set to automatic. This is the default.
- Complete Shopify Payment Ownership.
- Type = Corporation.
- Enter Address.
- Enter EIN (59-2304539).
- Personal Ownership (Kevin Carpenter’s information 9/17/66. 267-85-1162).
- Enter banking information
- Remit Payment: Advantus Corp., 75 Remittance Drive Suite 3142, Chicago IL 60675-3142
- Routing Number/Account Number: 2000678181074.
- Add Payout Statement Descriptor = Shopify + [Domain].
- Set Payout Schedule = Set to Every Month on Day 1.
Complete Shipping & Delivery
- Set up shipping rate tables (custom, flat rate, etc.).
- Add shipping zones – North America – select countries, International – select countries.
- Set up Shopify shipping by adding the carriers we will use (USPS, DHL, FedEx, etc.).
- Enter the Carrier’s account numbers.
- Enter Box sizes if applicable.
Set up Shipping Location
- Set the location/warehouse that the product will be shipping (add address and name).
Complete Taxes
- Set Countries where you will be collecting Tax.
- Manage taxes by calculating taxes automatically (taxes are automatically calculated by Shopify).
- Add a physical presence to the following Nexus States. Those states with tax IDs are:
- Wisconsin – 456-1026734439-03
- Virginia – 59-2304539
- Texas – 15923045395
- Michigan – 592304539
- Illinois – 3318-0385
- Florida – 26-8013975059-9
- Tax override to apply to all counties and cities in that state
Set Up Notifications
- Standard notifications include order confirmation, edited cart, invoice, canceled communication, and refund confirmation.
Set up Sales Channels
- Set up connections to all of the brand’s social media stores to sell products via that social sales channel.

Complete a test order
- Notify Customer Service and IT of your test order.
Set up Google Analytics on site
Run site thru Review
- Enter the domain to test the site for optimal SEO, page speed, accessibility, etc., on either web.dev or developers.google.com.
