List Prices & Other “For Reference” Price Levels

List Price

  • Set by division that owns the item
  • Entered in NetSuite by Product & Sourcing at item set-up, subsequent modifications made on item record by Sales Ops
  • When cross-selling, a different list price may need to be created to account for variables in other division’s business
    • Example: commissions, customer program, pricing structure, margin requirements

Customer List Prices:

  • ~AAFES List, ~Marines List & ~NEXCOM List
    • Customers aren’t assigned to these price levels, but are recorded for reporting and other purposes
    • For the military Exchange customers, we maintain catalogs of the items they purchase from us and the price they sell to the end user
    • Typically, lower than our list price to show value

Other “For Reference” Prices

  • ~Closeout
    • Used for reporting for Sales and Business Managers after a division has decided to reduce pricing to sell inventory at a lower price prior to liquidation
  • ~Drop Ship Price
    • Customers can be assigned to this price level
    • Used for Direct Fulfillment Eligible report
    • Division may choose to price an item differently from drop shipping or could be the same as the lowest price level in that division
