Step | Action |
1 | Acquisition Integration team (AI) is notified of necessary testing by either EC or divisional Acquisition Lead.
Note: Intent of this testing is to compare report data for integrity. This means taking provided data on one report and matching it to similar provided data on a different report. |
2 | Acquisition Lead selects what data is tested and what percentage/threshold should be tested
Examples of Possible Selections:
|
3 | AI obtains copies of the necessary test data from seller and saves it to the Data Integrity Testing folder under the main Public folder for the acquisition
SharePoint Path Example: Advantus Acquisition Integration>Public>Charles Leonard>Data Integrity Testing |
4 | Using the obtained data, AI will create a comparison spreadsheet with the following naming convention:
Company_DIT_TypeofTest_MM.DD.YYYY (ex. CLI_ProductSales_12.08.2022) |
5 | AI creates column or tab for data from one report selected for testing |
6 | AI creates second column or tab with data from different source |
7 | AI completes the columns by pulling the information from the saved reports or documents until determined testing threshold is met |
8 | AI runs comparison of the 2 columns to identify discrepancies |
9 | AI reports findings to EC or divisional Acquisition Lead that requested testing |
10 | EC or divisional Acquisition Lead determines if additional testing is needed or if data test results were within acceptable parameters |
