Creating Opportunities in Netsuite

Logging Opportunities in NetSuite

Sales Presentations are called Opportunities in NetSuite. After a sales presentation is finalized, you will need to create an Opportunity in NetSuite

Go to Projects and Items > Opportunities > New.

You will need to fill the following fields out.

Primary information

  1. Title: Follow the naming convention Customer Name- Division- Date.
  2. Customer
  3. Division
  4. Sales rep
  5. Marketing Lead- The Sales Administrator or the Marketing team member who completed the presentation.
  6. Partner- Outside Sales person/Rep Group who took part in presentation
  7. Team Members- List the team members who worked on project. Including sales, product and sourcing, marketing and graphics.
  8. Status- Will pre-populate to In Discussion. You can leave at this status until after the sales presentation date
  9. Presentation Phase- Select In Progress for now. Once the opportunity is closed, you can change.

Presentation Overview & Details

  1. Presentation Type- For most presentations, you will select Presentation. Catalog Reviews are usually done on an annual basis for the COP Divisions.
  2. Presentation Date
  3. Ship Window Start- If Applicable
  4. Ship Window End- If Applicable
  5. Set/In-Store Date- If Applicable
  6. Details- If Applicable

  1. Items that were presented

Communication

You will also need to save a copy of the marketing materials and pricing. To do this you will select the plus symbol.

You will need to Upload the file to attach it. Please follow the naming configuration of the presentation for the file name. Save and attach to the opportunity.
