Suppliers use the Supplier Hub → Tools tab to launch and utilize the Item Data Management (IDM) Vendor Portal to view, set up, and maintain product data.
Product data includes marketing data, product specifications, marketing photos, and other collateral and supply chain data. This data will feed homedepot.com, support The Home Depot’s supply chain initiatives, and ultimately drive the new SKU setup process for merchandising.
The IDM Help Center is the Supplier’s knowledge base for a variety of training resources and guidance for common questions or issues before submitting a support ticket to the IDM team. Here are a few recommended resources:
• Supplier IDM Welcome Letter and New to IDM section for New Suppliers
• IDM Item Onboarding Guides: Parts 1-3
• Training Videos
Additional information about IDM can be found on the Supplier Hub in the Resources Tab in the Supplier Onboarding section.
Dropship Suppliers (Ship from Commerce Hub or CHUB) should refer to the IDM Vendor Portal → Enrich workflow → Core Attributes tab → Shipping & Logistics section during onboarding for the exact Vendor Turn Time (VTT) requirement on each applicable SKU. To export VTT, refer to this IDM Help Center training article for guidance and step-by-step instructions. IDM VTT updates will be processed either at 1) vendor request to HD.com_Dropship@homedepot.com, subject to THD approval, or 2) THD request.
Supplier’s fulfillment of a THD-issued purchase order with an updated Expected Ship Date shall serve as acceptance of the updated Vendor Turn Time as reflected in the Item Data Management system. THD will notify the dropship vendor via email 30 days prior to any THD-requested IDM VTT changes to the following active contacts in Partner Profile: Account Manager, Supply Chain, Legal & Compliance,
Inventory/Ordering, Transportation, Compliance, Operations. If none of the following contact types are active, the Partner Guardian on the account is notified.
